Singing aloud the Name of the Lord in the form of Bhajans is like placing a lamp on the threshold of the house; it illumines the within and the without. The Name of the Lord brings peace to the one who sings as well as to those that listen”_ - Baba

This weekend is Global Akhanda Bhajans, a global event celebrated on the second Saturday & Sunday of the November month. Bhajans are sung continuously for 24 hours, filling the atmosphere with much needed positive energy and vibrations. The devotional singing starts at 6 pm on Saturday and ends at 6 pm on Sunday.

The Bhajans that are sung permeate the ether in the form of sound waves and fill the entire atmosphere. Thereby, the whole environment gets purified. Breathing in this purified atmosphere, our hearts get purified. Reciting the Lord's name is a process of give and take. Singing the Lord's name should become an exercise in mutual sharing of joy and holiness. It should be remembered that the sounds we produce reverberate in the atmosphere. They remain permanently in the ether as waves and outlast the individual uttering the sounds.

Our Connection with The Abode of Highest Peace

Prasanthi Nilayam means 'the abode of highest peace'. It is the main ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, located near the village of Puttaparthi amidst rolling hills, with the river Chitravathi to its east. The valley houses the divine sannidhi (sanctum) of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sai Kulwant Hall, bhajan mandir, residential complexes, the headquarters of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, its allied institutions.

By the divine grace of Beloved Baba our SSSGC Zone1 has recently taken up a new initiative "Prasanthi Connection" through which we will be sharing all important initiatives & updates from Prasanthi Nilayam.

Prasanthi Connection Team members will also strive hard to facilitate and help the devotees (of Zone1) with the logistics in Prasanthi Nilalayam.

We are thrilled to announce the Global Musical Symphony in honor of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Centenary Celebrations, themed Karishye Vachanam Tava. This special tribute, featuring singers and instrumentalists from around the world, will be a centrepiece of His Centenary Celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam.

We invite all talented performers from SSSGC centers to participate! The registration deadline for SSSGC Zone 1 members has now been extended until November 23, 2024.

Participants can register their interest as a musician or vocalist (eligible ages: 18–45 in November 2025). Once registered, the Audition Team will reach out with further instructions.

Feel free to share this opportunity with all interested YAs and members. This is a unique chance to contribute to His divine celebration!
